First up: Trousers.

The ones on the left are grey suit trousers, they're a pretty awful fit and I wear them for my sixth form college (in final year atm). I need a new suit soon and I was hoping for a slim fit one for cheap (Topman maybe)

cheap/acceptable suits in topman and burton. burtons a pretty shit brand but for a cheap slimfit suit i couldnt find anywhere much better.

start from a clean slate:

Nikolas and mark tank tops
Silent damir doma shirts
button up shirts should only be crisp white, Mcqueen or dior homme from slimane era which encompasses slight details like patches

blazer should be black linen

pants should be jeans from drkshdw, pants from various sources likebbs, raf simons, jil sander or yamamoto in differing colors and fits

outerwear should be from odyn vovk or a DRKSHDW cotton version of a rick leather. the margiela denim 5 zip is also a great casual jacket.

Leathers either Rick stooges, or some sort of moto like the julius piece or the rick intersia

Ok op, as much of a fan I am of light blue and gray I think you need to inject some different colors into your wardrobe. It doesn't have to be anything too dramatic. I recommend looking into neutral and muted colors.

As for what to buy, welll to be honest 400 pounds isn't that much considering how small your wardrobe is. What I would do if focus on something that you really need that you can wear often. Then a few times a month do some shopping around and see if can find some decent stuff to add on as you get money.

Sieg, a lot of the stuff you mentioned I can't find anywhere, as much as some of it looks nice, I'd rather go for more entry-level stuff than full on hardcore style-forum fashion

If I were you I would hunt around the mall at different department stores. Some of them have really great sales and clearance racks. Im in the US so I dunno if you have JCpennys there? But I walked outta there with 3 nice shirts and a hoodie for about 70 bucks. of course it takes some digging around, and you have to try stuff on to make sure it fits right, so this could get pretty time consuming. You kinda just gotta be willing to shop around for a while.

Northumberland. I'm just really stingy so I rarely bought clothes, a lot of what I have is gifts from family members. Also, a lot of the BLUE shirts etc. are for Sixth Form as I have to wear a suit.

I used to have a lot more clothes, but that was during my teenage angst days which was just all black so I got rid of 90% in the last 2 years.

Northumberland eh.. Anyway I suggest you get a pair of of good slim fit chinos in beige / camel. And get 3 or 4 solid colour t-shirts (I'd say white, black, and two other colours of your choosing which arnt blue or gray)
you can get a brown watch strap from nearly any watch repair shop
also definitely need a light jacket and a casual pair of brown shoes
and an extra bit of advise I would give is don't avoid Topman, alot of stuff there isn't great but it's decent for the basics

well from the looks of things you have a lot of the decent stuff you just need MORE of it, and in different variates. If I were you I would look for stuff like basic tshirts and vnecks, jean, chinos, shoes (deck shoes perhaps?), shorts, and just some different colored button ups both casual and dress, and then maybe a few accessories. After you have all that stuff out of the way you can look for bigger stuff like slim fit suits and blazers and whatnot. And just because you used to be angsty and emo doesn't mean you need to shun wearing black forever btw.
