I had moderate to severe asthma growing up.

I'm now 19, and run 40-50 miles a week.

Its gonna suck, but keep running. You build tolerance.

Keep your Inhaler on you as necessary, and over time you'll eventually start using it less often.

I still cough up mad mucus sometimes after long runs.

Try taking a puff or two of your inhaler 15 minutes before your cardio. It works just fine for me, but it depends on what you do. I run on the treadmill pretty steadily, but I put incline once in a while
