Good morning /fit/. I'm a newfag to bulking and cutting, I've worked on my lifts for around 2 years and basically ate whatever the fuck I wanted for that time.

Anyways, I always hear that it is impossible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time (unless you're morbidly obese, which always happens on the biggest loser.) I'm probably around 12% though.

If you did the following,

>cardio for 30-60 mins on an empty stomach (scooby on youtube says it hits fat stores first) a few times a week
>do my usual heavy lifting 3-4 times a week
>ate clean the rest of the day (minimal carbs)
>get enough protein in the day
>have a slight calorie surplus

wouldn't you be gaining muscle and reducing fat? This isn't a troll either if there is some obvious answer.
