Is it really necessary to sleep at night? (for health reasons)

I'm used to sleeping in the morning, I don't see anything wrong with it, is it really bad for your health?

The human body works in pattern based on when they're awake or asleep. Most people sleep around those hours, so studies done on it will be based around that schedule. If someone has a different schedule, their body will respond differently.

You can sleep whenever. If sleeping when light out, be in a dark room. Though I'd suggest you stop being a burnout with sleep patterns like that.

yea, your body gets used to your patterns. you can adjust to different hours of sleep... but you still need sleep.

As far as when, well... your body does recognize the sunlight aspect of waking up and falling asleep, but if you totally cancel out the sunlight, there shouldn't be a problem. People really far north/south do just fine, even with 20+ hours of night/day at the solstices.

from what I've found, sleeping at the same time each day is more importantly than what time each day it is.
