tl;dr I hurt my ankle from too much treadmill. What do to not lose my endurance gains?

I've been pretty solid on the treadmill once sometimes twice a day for an hour for three weeks now. I weigh 381lbs as of this morning (down 15lbs in 21 days) and yesturday I hit my first major bump. My ackle started hurting midway through my workout. Np, I thought, I have a workout to continue. This morning it still hurt, and hurt all day until i got on the treadmill again. Thought, it just needs to warm up. 15 mins in, still was hurting. Quit, got in hot tub and relaxed, still hurt. Now I'm thinking I need a break, but I'm afraid of losing my endurance gains plus the pretty steady losses i've been seeing on the scale.

Other info that may be relevent.
