I used to have a lot of trouble with the lockout on bench, so I added in rack benches and my benching sky rocketed, despite trying wave progression in the past.
I do five sets of heavy tripples which also helps a lot.

Stiff Legged deadlifts 4x5
Back Squat/Front Squat (alternating weekly) 3x5
OverHead Squat 2x12
