The snatch is probably the most complicated excercise and should be trained for triples at most, with a good recovery time between sets.
People in Crossfit do these for time, say, 15 in a minute, disregarding form completely.
Also they claim they get stronger doing excercises in such fashion. That's not true, doing excercises for time or until failure will not make you strong, at all. It'll only give you a fairly good stamina but, again, only worth it if you're doing olympic lifts (or the like) for time.
A basic program that is strength training + accessory work + conditioning is like a hundred million times better than Crossfit.
