The basis of 99% of theological arguments is the claim that a deity created the universe. Once you shut down that argument, the rest of their logical fallacies are useless. If we live in a multiverse, then the nearest examples of other universes may be black holes. From our perspective, the laws of physics break down after you pass the event horizon. However, from the inside, black holes may invert space. The deeper the gravitational well gets, the more it may expand from the inside. This model not only allows for our universe, but much, much larger and much, much older universes as well. Since universes are natually occurring, there is no need for a gods, satans, floods, Jewish kings or even messiahs.
I still feel that religion is still a valuable tool over the masses, because most people are full retard. If you can convince people that their actions can lead to eternal damnation, you can get them to believe/do anything. However, I long for the day when our species puts aside silly superstitions & we can focus on actually making progress towards becoming a class I civilization.
