Why does the Kubuntu team put together the stupidest KDE setup? It's as if the switch from 3.5.10 to 4.0 caused their brains to cook within their own skulls and they have never recovered from this. From glitchy themes, to bad package choices, to bad version choices, to just overall plain sloppiness, they have caused KDE to be perceived as a horrible desktop.
But when you look at other distributions and their desktops, like Pardus or Gentoo, KDE is actually nice, especially in the case of Pardus. Is Canonical paying the Kubuntu team to sabotage KDE or what? Friends don't let friends install kubuntu-desktop. They install kde-full.
