Just build my new computer with following specs.

System Specs:

mobo: GA P67A UD3
CPU: i5 2500k
ram: 2x4GB GEIL 1333MHz
GPU: ATI Radeon 4870 X2
Storing devices: New Intel 510 120GB SSD
7200RPM 80GB
7200RPM 220GB

Running with only what is essential. i.e. No graphics card, one stick of ram, no other pcie cards, no hdd but boot drive plugged in.

Hmm, so try and boot with 1 stick of ram and only my OS SSD.

Could it by any chance be a malfunction in my SSD? Or windows being installed on it wrongly or something like that? Would trying to install windows on one of the other HDDs and booting from that one work?

Also I thought I reset CMOS (had the battery out for a mintue, and also tried with the CLR_CMOS pin) but i can see in CMOS that it still has profile data from the time it booted previously, one is called "5 successful boots". But i cant boot using that profile.

And thanks to anyone helping me out, im fucking nothing without my computer

An easier way to check for hdd failure would be to see if you can get the machine to boot from a live-cd. I'd recomend using a Ubunut Live-Cd as it has great hardware support out-of-the-box. http://www.ubuntu.com/

But you're either installing Windows from USB on the SSD, you're installing windows on the SSD in another machine, or you've got a disk drive for this computer.

Try other stick of RAM. Also check to make sure it's in the right slot. Mobos can be picky about that. The manual that came with the motherboard will tell you which slot to use.

Did not boot with other ram.

I then tried to install w7 on another HDD and it worked fine, boots well and stuff now - but I haven't installed any drives and I'm scared :<

I guess it's the ssd's fault then. I'd ship it back to wherever you bought it from for either a new one or money back.

Also, a 1tb drive will only run you ~$65 for a decent one if you want a new drive.

I'm still scared that one of the drivers might have caused the problem, but the only drivers I had on it was mobo and internet, there was also some windows updates which may have been creating some problems too? Idk, ill try install some of the drivers and have my fingers crossed.
