Music for the last 20 or so years of my life: Audio-Technica ATH-2
First purchase in my search for good replacements for above: Sony MDR-ZX700
Gaming: Logitech G35
Starting to get a collection of headphones. Sadly the Sony MDR-ZX700 in the picture (I picked them up yesterday) while they sound fucking great, and have mellowed out a little since I've been playing music on them since I got home with them, are probably going to be returned. The cable is just too short. I went to purchase some Sony V6, got all reading the specs on these and was like, "I think I can deal with the 1.2m cable for 50mm drivers, High-energy Neodymium magnets, and 5-40Khz".
Shit is short as hell. Doesn't even come with a 3.5mm to 1/4" converter like the V6 either. Me being dumb again. They're studio, why wouldn't they come with a 1/4" plug or at least with a converter? I don't know, fuck I can't go anywhere but right next to my computer due to the length of the wire. I can't plug it into my mixer with out buying a converter. How could some one use these in a real studio? I ask you this question.
My ears are going to possibly pop off, find a gun, and kill my in my sleep if I return these for V6 and they aren't as good.
>>17261023>get Beyer Dynamic replacment pads as soon as possible (stock pads fall apartSo that is the trick. I may be picking up some Sony V6 today or tomorrow. That makes me feel a lot better as the only drawback to them is just that, the pads fall to crap.
