also the RAM is at 1600mhz which i've been told won't be noticeable but it's the same price as kingston RAM at 1333mhz and looks sexier

Seriously, fuck those huge ram heatspreaders, they're dumb as fuck and you won't be able to use any decent heatsink on your CPU with that shit in the way.

It's a simple fact, ask anyone who bought them (not me).
Also, they actually impair RAM performance since the heat generated is so low it can't even penetrate the sticky pads so just builds up around the sides of the chips instead.

Even a 430 could run Arma II at 30fps on low, but if you want it to look decent you need at least a 560, preferably better if you have the money. Don't even think about the 6850.

do you have any benchmarks for comparison of GPUs for arma 2?

It is too obscure now for many modern benchmarks to have been done, but it's demand on systems at max is similar to Crysis on max (I get the same framerates as this graph in Arma II as well as Crysis): http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU11/187

It taxes both, my GTX480/i7930@4GHz struggles to run it on max, and from tests I've done both get put under heavy load while running the game.
