>3. why you prefer nvidia over ati or vice versa
My last GPU was an ATi, as at the time I built my computer I wanted DX11 an Fermi wasn't out yet. As a person who usually bought, "what is better", and had lived on ATi cards from about 1998 up until 2007 before switching to nVidia I felt a little more at home with ATi. Fastforward about 11 months, I update the drivers and they start crashing at least once every two days with out doing anything. Also crashing a lot while playing games. Tried to go back to the last version of drivers that worked, but it was now crashing on me too. Now ATi is notorious for crappy drivers, but even with about 10 years of having ATi cards in my systems I had never, ever, experienced such a horror. After about 4 months of crashing ALL the time my plan went from picking up a second for Crossfire to buying something that had drivers that worked. So as of Mid-late March I am an nVidia user again.
>4. why don't you have a girlfriend
I could be a person with about $30k in the bank with $20K+ in debt, probably have a GF as I would have my own place and plenty of disposable income. I, however, chose to crash at my 'rents and pay off said debt; college and car loans. Left my job in Feb. after about 9 months of work due to the company being slave drivers. They pushed my to the brink of physical exhausted, stressed me the fuck out, and one day my heart just said "FUCK YOU!" and did some weird palpitation shit. I'm fine, the doctor said something like, "If you weren't young and healthy you probably would have had a heart attack. If you don't stop stressing yourself out so much it is perfectly feasibly the next one will be." So two days later I was like, my father died of a heart attack and I don't feel like following him at half the age he died at; actually a couple years earlier than half.
