Sup /g/.
Im having a problem with my laptops wireless adaptor. Its finding and connecting to a wifi hotspot but its only getting local access. Running my broswer doesnt fix the problem (windows said it might).
Im running vista. Ive read a bit online about how vista doesnt recognise flags or something similar to that and ive gone through a small tutorial on how to fix it but im stuck half way through.
This is what im trying http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233 . Im stuck on step 2, looking in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{GUID} but the last part ({GUID} isnt there. Theres just 4 folders with letters and numbers. Ive checked in the folders for the {GUID} but its nowhere to be found.
Can anyone help me out?
