Hey /g/, with the recent death of my aging laptop, I have decided to purchase a new desktop for the purpose of gaming.

I am relatively new to PC gaming, so I have a fairly straightforward question regarding system requirements.
Would I be able to play Empire: Total War, ArmA II, and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card (along with 8 Gb RAM and a 3.5 GHz quad-core i7 processor, which I'm certain greatly exceed the recommended specs)?

Please forgive my, for lack of a better word, stupidity in the matter.
