I'm in the market for a new monitor. Budget is $400ish. I'd be willing to pay a bit more if it's a big increase in size/quality, but let's go with $400. Max size would be 24 inches wide, on the outside, although I realize that's probably a bit on the big side to get a quality one for that price. Only problem is, I don't know anything about monitors. From what I've gathered from asking around, IPS>TN, static contrast is more important than dynamic, LED is better, and everything /g/ says about aspect ratio is a load of horseshit. More vertical room would be awesome, but it's all an upgrade from what I have now.
