Girlfriend's bday coming up and she wants a 1TB or 2TB Portable hard drive.

She is a mac fag and uses a macbook pro with a firewire 800 slot.

Wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction for a good price

Alright, so I couldn't find the tests, but I just transferred a folder that was 6.51 GB (consisted of 25 video files), and I timed it with my iPhone. Here's how long it took:

Firewire 800: 1 minute, 59 seconds.
USB 2.0: 4 minutes, 1 second.

As you can see, there is a difference, but when it's 4am and you're sleeping, you won't notice.

I read 1 particular file (1.6 GB) from each of the drives, to my desktop, and this is what I got:

Firewire 800: 26 seconds
USB 2.0: 47 seconds
