I did this before and it resulted in me getting Windows Anti-virus 2009.

I have no face when because I'm on my fucking laptop since my desktop is now a brick.
I booted in safe mode and the fucker still loaded, same as Windows Anti-virus 2009.

If you read my post I was doing a search for something and a return that yielded a good result and didn't look to be a spam result came up, I clicked on it then the whole GUI crashed and the fucking fake AV came up.

It's blocked Malwarebytes and everything.

Windows has lots of things linux doesn't have. For example, Windows has a wide selection of security holes with new ones being discovered every week. It also has a wide selection of games.

Many of those holes are opened though by Internet Exploder.

Also with Windows OS being the majority Linux and Mac OS computers are being ignored.
But yeah, Linux is pretty secure.

No, MWB clears it out too. You just have to kill the virus' process whenever it gets launched (opening a program, any program, launches it). I used a combo of MWB and MSE on a clients machine and that got it clean.

i have every possible shortcut to it deleted just incase someone else decides to use my computer i even renamed firefox to internet explorer and changed its icon they would never know the difference

Ah I see. XFCE is pretty good, it's like a lightweight version of GNOME 2. I prefer LXDE because it uses Openbox.

also your computer have been rooted, it is impossible to be 100% sure you removed every single infection, so just save yourself the time and format and reinstall

Making a tech support thread: your comment is the exact equivalent of a Google search query, PLUS you have to fill out a CAPTCHA. THEN bump your own thread/samefag for a while. Filter all the "install Gentoo" and "Google it fag" posts. Then MAYBE you get a link to a page with the information you want.

Why people don't just use Google, I'll never know.
