Personally I'd swap my HD6990 for a GTX590.
Noise on the HD6990 is so anoying.
Yet, with amd i can run eyefinity where with nvidia i cant find anything about running 3 screens, only 3d vision.

Seriously; I don't see the point of using several monitors, when there's a massive, black bezel slicing the action. Multi-monitor solutions to this exist, which have less bezel, but it's still there.

These are the times when actual gamers are separated from epeeners. This is readily apparent in that there are no remotely worthwhile games being released that actually require the hardware some people are buying.

I haven't sat down and used the actual thing, but I can imagine it annoying me a lot. My tune might change drastically when I see it in action, but I'm not arguing for the sake of it--I genuinely don't like the thought of something obscuring what's going on. I know that there isn't actually anything that's hidden by the bezel, but it still looks like a massive distraction.

Just my take on this.

OP, keep the AMD card and see if you can fix the noise or just deal with it. To my knowledge, the 590 is horrible for temperature and power consumption. I'm not anti-nVidia, but the card just seems to be bad.

i cant game with that thick black barrier between my visual surfaces, it looks horrible

same way it looks horrible when electronic shops set up 2x2 monitors to play a movie. a single big one would be way better

also it depends on if you mean to use all 2 or 3 for games, or one for games while the other one has something else like your browser or such

it looks exactly the same as if you only had one monitor

but then there is peripheral vision on either side of that monitor that adds to the visual experience

the bezels are "slicing through the middle of the action" as you so distinctly put it
