I'm looking for some tech support, and I hope you guys can help me. I'll be sure to delete the thread once I'm done.

My problem is the following: I want to take my hd and put it inside my brother's computer. It says I need to format it before I can use it. I want to keep a lot of the data that's on it, so I thought I'd just use my bro's old hd, put whatever I need on that one and then, when I'm done putting my hd in his computer, I'd just take whatever I need off the hd and be about my business.
I can already predict, however, that I'll need to format the hd I'm using to keep my data when I'm going to hook it up to my bro's computer. Is there any way around this that doesn't cost me money?
