>>18597734I don't have any on overclocking, but here goes a quick explanation:
Overclocking is when you increase the clock of one (or all) of your components (cpu, gpu, ram) to run at above stock clocks to get more performance at the expense of heat and power usage.
You can overclock your components on the bios of the mobo or the using some software that you can google for.
Processors of from amd with the BE and from intel with the k, have the multiplier unlocked (with makes overclocking extremely easy, because you can just up the multiplier). Also it is not recommended to increase the multiplier by a lot, as system stability can decrease, thus it is necessary when overclocking to run stability tests (like prime95, for like a day), in which case you can increase the voltage by a very little bit to see if it is stable).
For example most intel i5 2500k can easily go up to 4.4 ghz with almost stock voltage. Graphics card can also be overclocked, and some already come overclocked, like the msi lightining gtx 580 (but they also come with better cooling system), from the stock 772 mhz to 832 mhz.
Air or air cooling is cooling using fans, for more ceiling, you can use an aftermarket HSF (heatsing + fan) or you can use liquid cooling, which offers better temps at increased prices (not pseudo-liquidcooling like the H70). You probably would need an aftermarket thermal paste (or grease), like the artic silver 5 or etc
Anyways google it..
