>>229994i see, thats nice.. though thats not what i've been reading on those analyses.. anyways ill have to get the system myself and look at how it works,i think it will be interesting.. however do not underestimate the TPM threat, its already present in Macs and a lot of newer Intel mobos , i'd say in about 5 years most of the pcs will have that shit unless we specifically refuse to buy that, i know its a separate story, but vista will be the main enabler of tpm ( currently you can buy a tpm mobo to use in servers, but not for drm, just for assuring the systems integrity, which is basically a really nice use of that thing )
of course the tpm in vista will be used for a few casual stuff like bitlocker and a shitload of drm... we'll see, however i still say we at least boycott the damn tpm, i can deal with vista as its software, but when we will have to crack open those chips(hardware) to extract info from them(and use in an emulator), it will be much more harder/painful... I'm just saying that the amount of crackers that can do both hardware and software reversing is extremly small, thus it will probably minimize the amount of 'piracy' .. no point in speculating now, but me as a cracker im very curious about how we'll deal with these new technologies, while still wishing i could still trust my hardware (i can still trust it with tpm, just cant access certain zones if it the way i should be able to normally)
