The greatest game never made. The expansion disk that would have finally made it possible to beat the Running Man, unfreeze Zora's Domain, and get the Triforce. But alas, it was not to be. Master Quest is only a shadow of the original, merely rearranged dungeons and a few add-ons. With the extra storage provided by the 64DD, Ura made available the Wind and Ice temples and unlocked the passage behind the Temple of Time. Every footprint, every cut sign or broken pot would remain as they are. The 20 MB writable memory, still much more than most games use today for their save files, would make all this and more a reality.
What became of this Key to Hyrule? Some say a copy of the disk is in the hands of a rogue employee or a collector, waiting for when the time is right. Others say Miyamoto has the only copy and plays it every so often, a game so long and complex that not even he has found every secret, even after all these years.
