These photos are from the Shorpy.com website. These are photos from the National Archives, many of which were made as WPA and other New Deal era projects documenting the Depression, public works, vanishing ways of life, etc. There are also many early Kodachrome transparencies from before and during WWII. Many of the B&W photos are made from 5X7 or 8X10 glass negatives and are incredibly high-resolution. They are truly a "snapshot of the past".
