In Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, there is the most remarkable tomb -- that of Qin Shi Huang, or Huang Di, the first Chinese emperor. In 1974, buried near his mausoleum, an entire terra cotta army was discovered, consisting of 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. These are just a few photographs that don't do justice to this remarkable archeological treasure.
