HR banknotes folks. If I recall correctly, it's illegal to have these, but any attempt at printing (even on crappy printer paper) can get you in trouble. I have no idea how many of these I have so let's get it started

i hate the fact that foreign currency (USAfag here) is colorful and artistic while US currency is so bland by comparison. even the newer bills (post 2000) look like Monopoly money. i especially like most of the middle east currency as well as pre-Euro european currencies. i also find it hilarious how the French bank notes have an anti counterfit warning at the bottom in small print.

Probably yes if it is the case of older banknotes that are not in use any more. I wouldn't upload the scans of those that are still being used because some idiot might decide to print them and eventually blame it on you

all i find myself doing is scanning the notes to find the little "hidden" intricacies that make them unique and counterfeit-proof. from the U.S. here, and i remember when they put the little black strip in our bills for that reason. but i know that there are other things, like tiny text and symbols, and watermarks you can only see when you hold the bill a certain way. I always wondered if other countries did similar things, and what they were. awesome thread, btw. great job OP!

Also, multiple colors throw me off. Used to green American money, so the really colorful ones just look odd to me.
