>>455652I find it hard to comprehend in what manner Canadians would benifit from another 4 years of Bush-like doctrine.
Obama wants to research alternative energy sources, Canadians have universal health care, Obama wants to move towards a similar system. Tax reform and economics need to be addressed in the US, this effects the global economy.
Obama has brought forth some actual strategies. McCain has said "he knows how to fix it" with absolutely no methods explained.
The list goes on.
Overall, Canada follows the US' lead. Stephen Harper is a fucking dick, but he is a fucking dick with little to no balls attatched. This is good and bad, depending on who is in power in the US. What the prez. of the US wants, he'll go along with. This is why the last 4 years have been so difficult in Canada, because Harper acted as Bush's lapdog.
When Obama gets in, he'll be his lapdog as well. Which will only lead to good things for Canadians.
Harper will NOT stand up against the US prez, he'll comply and adhere to anything suggested as rediculous as it may be.
But if the US is lead by somebody who actually has a positive forward thinking direction, that will result inherently in positive, forward thinking in Canada as well.
And the person who is forward thinking is Obama, not McCain, it's that simple.
