In real life Stu is a firmware engineer who has worked on a wide variety of projects including video lottery machines, aeronautical GPS devices, MP3 players, pay telephones, broadcast equipment, DTMF controllers and on-demand video servers. In addition, he is a co-owner of the Palace Theatre in Downtown Silverton, owns and operates the Mt. Angel Performing Arts Center in Mt. Angel and Corporate Media Services, which provides specialized photographic services to business and industry. His 'how-to' articles and application notes have been published in a variety of electronics trade journals. Stu is an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator (W7QJ) and spends his free time collecting mechanical and electrical oddities and puttering in the workshop.
