>>173609>>173606who said that I was a anime fan? I don't watch anime all day long, I am a film fan and I have watched quite many of them. I cant see how you came up with the Idea that I have only watched anime.
I think its strange that you think that anime is marketed for kids, since the best of it is broadcasted in the evening, far away from kids prime time.
I have watched some Japanese animated series like "the melancholy of Haruhi suzumiya" and many movies like ghost in the shell and akira, I find that few of them are suitable for minors.
>>173606I cant see why you think mononoke is up there "because its japanese". first of all imdb is not made out of anime fans, its filled with film fans! fans that like watching good films wherever they come from, Japan or Norway. most of them only know few japanese film titles.
The imdb top list has mostly American movies in it, that can be explained by how Americans market their films. Hollywood blockbusters are commercialized and introduced to the world many weeks before its shown, by the time it has hit the theatres everyone knows it and will wach it and then go on imdb an vote for it.
While Hollywood blockbusters will easily get to the imdb top list, have foreign films harder time doing that, because they mostly get their media attention trough film festivals.
there is no way Mononoke hime is on the list just because it is "Japanese and trendy"
>>173606>>173609your posts show that you know nothing about japanese animation.
