The colour mapping is just off the photograph, in the upper brightness ranges (pinks and whites) I did an extra additive colour blend to bring out the detail on the flower / heart shape itself, but the background is white so that got caught in it aswell. At this point I did'nt have any direct control over how it was drawn, it was all automated.
The problem is that the colour defines the outline not the objects themselves, I've also got a more interactive version of this that I'm still working on.
It allows me to spawn some spirals in a place at the moment, but I want to get it to automatically bind to a colour range.
That way it will wander around within the bounds of each colour to give a more distinct edge to each part.
I've got loads of these but this is the only one that shows any real form. Adding more depth is what I'm after.
I should point out the actual image isnt what interests me in this, I'm just experimenting with different processes at the moment.
