Fine. Here's a real critique. And when you read it you're totally going to be a little bitch and be like "baaawwww, it's my style you're a jerk! Fuck you guys!" and whatever. Try to restrain yourself.
So #1, UNDERSTANDABILITY: First things first I have no idea what I'm looking at. it appears to be (or will be) the cover of a publication entitled 1984. Whether this is a magazine, comic, zine, poetry collection, leftist newsletter, i don't know...And THAT my friend is all that is readily understandable about this image. And that is a bad way to go about things. So what I would ask first, is are the graphic references you're making here going to be understandable to your audience? I'm not going to say SOME people won't understand this, but I most certainly am not one of them. I see poorly caricatured tanks, cameras, factories and streetlights that form no cohesive plot or motive. And in order to see those things I have to fucking squint at the damn thing. If those visual elements are important they need to be 2-3x bigger. If they're unimportant then get rid of them.
