The original material was super sculpey (the peach one) which is a nice oil based polymer that takes textures and paint really well, but the only problem is that it's really easy to crack, break and burn while cooking it to set it. This was molded and cast in Smooth Cast 300 which is a urethane plastic that fairly hard to chip/break, but it's harder to fix problem with and has a really fast pot life which means more bubles in the mix. Unless you're really hardcore about this, I'd just go with Super Sculpey because it's cheaper and easier for beginners (like me : >).
