>>294208>This was done in my sketchbook. It's not that I cropped them off, but I actually ran out of room on the paper. That's something you should probably address; even when you're doodling something in your sketchbook, you should rough it out so you can fit the entire figure onto the page. I'm not saying everyone else does it, often enough I cut the legs off or don't even bother drawing them. Its worth the time spent to make sure the picture doesn't suffer from a lack of legs
>I guess that's another place I fucked up. The deep blue is supposed to be cloth, and the purple+gold are supposed to be the armor parts. That should be easy enough to fix up. Just select a slightly darker blue than the deepest one you already have, and rework the shadows. Grab some cloth references or pinch your shirt or something and add some more detail. The problem here is that the cloth is shaded in exactly the same way as the armour.
>I was going for a battlemageI don't play wow or any of those games, so I wouldn't worry if you're thinking she doesn't look like what she's supposed to. I wouldn't know anyway.
>>Stepan SejicI know he uses custom brushes *a lot* (like his chainmail, scales, angelus wings, etc) but its the end result that matters. Plus, he really knows how to make a picture dynamic; its more about where he places the brush strokes than what brush he uses in particular.
>>294231> I might have just wasted 30 minutes but.. maybe more like this?I'm not too sure about this myself, your redline seems to have too much action, whereas the original picture seemd more like an action ready stance, but not actually moving.
Unless you were going for a more dynamic stance, but that alternatively makes me think that she's either being looked at from a higher angle than is appropriate, or she's taking a dump.
tl;dr, you have successfully confused me.
