>>944368OP, your problem is simple.
You're drawing lines and shapes to represent a three dimensional figure, yet have no idea how to do this. You're just winging it, and drawing is as much a science as it is an art (just like ANY form of art be it music, story-telling, drawing, cooking, whatever).
I love to draw animu. I've been drawing, studying and learning for ~5 years (that's ~5 years of studying and drawing from life, NOT drawing animu) and I'm only just now able to make a decent stylized image from my imagination. Without reference and whatnot.
You need devotion to be good, and you're not going to get good at animu by drawing animu. A brilliant artist whom has never drawn Annie-May could simply look at her once and be able to create an image in a similar style, because he knows WHY that style works because he works from... you guessed it.... REAL LIFE!
TL;DR (again) In order to master the animu, one must first understand the animu and all of it's secrets (hint: it's based on real life!)
>You don't have to be a master to know that muchGood luck, OP. Also, if you can't take a bunch of d/ic/ks, find somewhere else. /ic/ has a lot of great artists and advice, even for artists that draw animu (despite hating it). Even Lefty continuously gets advice even though he just lol's at it. But they'll be assholes about it (which I enjoy, being a masochist). Especially with posts like your OP. That's just asking for it lol
