Good evening /ic/.

A friend and I have recently decided to start up a design firm. My partner is skilled in the design aspects of creating an interface, and just generally making things shine, however, he can't draw or illustrate well if his life depended on it.

In other words, I'm the main illustrator in between us. Here's the thing though, I normally only work with paper products and generally "hands on" art, as in, never digital.

However, I went out and bought a tablet so that I could go ahead and move into the field of digital art.

ITT: Newbie advice for getting started in serious digital painting (none of that DA/Anime shit) and also general practice ideas.
