>>947155Oh my friggin God, if you want to be a concept artit you are off to a terrible start. And i only ay that because when i applied to SCAd i had the same kind of shit in my "portfolio" and now 5 years later i know why it was wrong. But you know what? Atleast my shittiest animu art had more dynamic poses, more attention to value and anatomy , and a more unique attempt at stylization. I mean this in the nicest way possible. You want to be a concept artist? forget everything you think you know about "your style" and look at what the industry is doing, because their is no room for pride when you are building a product. and honestly, you should not be proud of what you have posted.
its entirely generic. the dress is boring, the face is like a poorly copied panel of Ichigo 100%, ALL of the anatomy is wrong, the pose is not possible unless she is a blow up doll or gumby.
If you really want to work as a concept artist, go to
conceptart.org, read the tutorials, look at the books they are talking about, go to the WIP threads and see how they do things, read EVERY critic, then i want you to go buy a brand new sketchbook(atleast 18" in one length), and a copy of Barber's anatomy for artists or Bridgeman's constructive anatomy, study and re-draw every single page in one of those books. when you finish that buy another sketchbook and buy "perspective made easy" and do the same. You should also be drawing from life EVERY DAY. If you dont improve in a few months pick a different career.
