/q/ was honestly not that useful. For example lets say someone wanted a rules clarification. 4chan staff NEVER replied. Instead you got a bunch of normal users backseat moderating, with the most common reply being some variation of "your post is shit, if i was a mod i would ban you."

And before anyone says to email moot, moot almost never replies to emails. The one time he did reply, he made a deliberate point of refusing to clarify the rule while at the same time saying he didnt give a shit. So far moot has refused to reply to any ban queries or reports about mods/janitors giving out random bans/deletions, even when provided with screenshot proof.

/q/'s only purpose that i can tell was to put all the wannabee moderators into one board so they would stop shitting up the other boards by butting into people's threads and starting arguments over what is or is not on topic for that board.

Too bad that's exactly what /q/ ended up doing - trying to decide rules for all the other boards they never even been to before.

It was nice having a place where all 4channers could meet since we have all those different boards with different cultures and whatnot. A sad thing that /q/ ended up being a shitty board for faggots complaining about everything and anyone not being the way they'd like it to be. /sb/ won't be an imageboard, maybe it'll work this time.

Because no one knows these boards exist. Some of the text boards are linked but others aren't and you'd have to see them on the front page. (They're filtered by default)

I hate that the front page just tacks them onto the list. They should have their own section on the front page.

Also /q/ just turned into a place for people to spam about what they didnt like and ask for rules to be made and boards to be deleted. The biggest examples being people begging for /pol/ and /mlp/ to be deleted because they dont like it.
