You should start doing 6C 421C j2a in your Yuyuko corner blockstrings since everything after the 6C is blocked is airtight and it drains a decent amount of spirit.

I would suggest you put in a wee bit of practice. You can pretty much just hit down right to 236 and right down right to do 623.

I honestly never liked 623. I feel that 632 would always be easier for the player to execute. I've never seen a 623 that couldn't be a 632 instead.

But what do I know, I've never been any good at fighting games.

623 intentionally takes a bit longer to input, since it's usually a move with high priority or startup invulnerability. Also, there are odd occasions where you want to tiger knee a 623, and it's easier to do it with the current input.

And, let's be honest, the biggest reason is just because Shoryuken has always been 623, and people are used to it.

GGs. To be honest, I have a lot to improve in my combos as well, for most characters I just go for what I think will connect from the last hit, and occasionally fail at that. I should spend more time actually practising what works instead of going by feel. My mains are of course exceptions to this, but in random matches I have a lot of trouble coming up with decent combos.s

I started playing SWR a couple of months after it was released, so that makes almost 3 years of play. One's bound to learn a few things in that time, even if it's been almost exclusively against /jp/.

And yet, there are many that are way out of my league as well. There's always room to improve.

While playing against you I've been wondering why nobody considers playing soku on tournaments.
Well of course there is the wheather and spellcards which are too random for tourneyfags.

But still I wonder if soku requires more execution than MvC3.
I'm pretty sure for SSF4 you'd need more though.

Well and those are actually the only 2 fighting games I regulary play.I wonder how it is compared to MK9

In the Hisouten Wiki there's a dead link to a mod for SWR Replay Recorder.
There is something like this for Hisoutensoku? I need it to save the matches in video format and I don't like to waste time to Fraps. Until now I'm not able to find anything.

I decided to practice specials against a bot and when the round started, the bot proceeded to do 3 specials at instant speed taking off a big chunk of health.

These controls are bullshit. I might play the next Touhou fighting game if it has one button specials instead of these arbitrary execution barriers that make bots act completely different from players.

Okay, I'll bite. First, fighting games like that, outside Smash (no, don't start the party vs fighting thing), exist? There is a thing such as something being too easy. Second, the computer is garbage in this game and needs all the advantages it can get. You can spam bullets from full screen and the computer will get hit like an idiot. Also guess what? Most fighting game CPU are able to do that instant special thing too. Deal with it. If you really wanted to practice specials, go to practice mode. No computer attacking and you can set up all sorts of situations.
