>>7280513>So, anyone actually enjoying it?There were some possitive ones, or at least some questioning ones in the last thread.
But personally? I actually really like it so far. And from what I have guessed most people's biggest problem seems to be how the game offers little attrition and how its mostly all or nothing, you win or you lose.
But I have little problem with that, so that may very well be why I actually enjoy the thing as much as I do.
Yes, instead of losing an advantage the game usually forces you to reload. One could easily throw this off as bad game design, as most also probably do and with decent arguments.
But one could also a bit roughly put, argue that it is basically a game that encourages save-scumming, and as bad of a design choice as one might argue it to be, one still can't deny how it is what most do either way, can one?
But yes, I believe it could be fun if there could be some other outcome of a battle as opposed to "Hmm, how much damage can I accept to have been subjected to -when- the battle is won?" Cause damaged fleets is pretty much the only thing this game has going in terms of punishment (related to battle), other than instant game over.
Oh, but when you are conquering new areas you might also consider whether or not you want the territories that doesn't give you stars. (of which is necessary to win, and of which you lose from if you lack them.)
But all in all, I really like the game so far.
