Why don't VN developers and writers give the option of naming the protagonist more often? Are they that afraid consumers won't buy it because they're not use to being the main character or is there some other reason? I don't understand though because games like Dragon Quest,Shin Megami Tensei,Persona and Love Plus all give you the choice of naming the character after yourself and they're extremely popular among the Japanese.
