Sure.
I make my decisions based on content, quality of linework/painting, composition of the piece and the general content of the picture.
Some of them get really cliche after going through hundreds of them, and you start developing an eye for the really good ones.
I've also recently started getting into specific ukiyo-e artists.

Here is my second favorite piece in the folder i've made. Note the calmness of the man as he's being shat on by a little demon. It is priceless..
