Easy way : download and listen to every commercial compilations, mostly from exit tunes, try to find who made the songs you like
Another way : listen to random stuff on youtube and nico
Hard way : download a huge torrent or whatever you find and listen to everything

A thread on /jp/ where people are nice and helpful regarding something Vocaloid related? Haven't seen one of these in a while. All these kind anons have pretty much told you all I would. Definitely look at those charts they posted.

Another good site to check out is http://mikudb.com/. They have tons of albums you can download. Just listen to a bunch. After a while, you'll start to get a sense for it. The more time you invest in it, the more you'll understand.

The day will come when you'll start listening to a new Miku song and before checking who made it you'll think to yourself "I bet this was made by X." and sure enough you'll be right.

I don't know many experimental music, just some slightly different music styles and some that uses simple vocaloid features difficult with real singers like high speed singing, robotic sounds, multiple singing at the same time, non stop singing...

But don't bother about that (It would be nice buying the one you really like considering that vocaloid producers are basically indie musicians)
Alternatively there are some producers completely against selling vocaloid music, and many musics are free.
In my case I download lots of music but also buy all my favorites producers cds (or digital download in last case)

Wow, thanks so much, guys! Before this thread, the only songs I'd heard was Freely Tomorrow, Mikku Miku ni Shite Ageru, and some half-good version of the nyanyanya song. I feel ashamed now, for not knowing about the massive library of vocaloid songs. I am humble to all of your knowledge. And I'm sorry for being a newfag to all of this.

I've listened to every song listed here. Some I liked, some I didn't, but I'm glad I listened to all of them anyway.

It encompasses a wide variety of genres and by producers mostly unknown in the western world. If you've been exploring enough on Youtube, you might recognize 恋人サンディは明後日笑う by 盛るP, the same producer of High Sense Nonsense song.

That's probably all from me for now. I wish that there are more appreciators for lighthearted pop(some bordering on the denpa genre) songs here to share their treasures. I don't really know why am I not attracted to heavier songs and the like.
