Never really see these much in here, but when I do they're gold. Unfortunately I don't have any of my own.

I do remember reading some innawoods stories and finding weird stuff. And I also enjoy reading those weird conspiracy stories like those number stations.

Salt has been used for centuries in multiple cultures to "cleanse" spiritually. For example, Sumo wrestlers sprinkle salt in their ring to banish evil spirits.
So I just figured that if you had to shoot evil spirits with something, rock salt would do the trick.

This happend two years ago when I was 16 years old.

>Cousin says in horrified voice "They are waving to him"
>suddenly my closet door closes (we had little mess in my room)

>jump from bed, grab my nightstick and switch light on
>before room is totally bright I saw shapes of men in the window infront of my cousin
>Light is on, see nothing, hear nothing and the cousin is now looking at me with strange gaze.

On the next day I telled this story to my parents and visitors. Mom tells me that this house was renovated after the fire before WWII started, a couple who lived here two generations before us got burned.

Americans, you're scary...

>tell cousin "I think something was watching us from the woods"
>cousin says "wtf I saw some red eyes and was about to tell you when you said to run"

on a later occasion I heard somebody talking about something that locals call "the wildman" that lives in the woods around here

I saw something like that while riding home on my bike in the late evening, I was living in Florida at the time. Scared the hell outta me when it ran across my path into the orange grove next to the road, I must have hit 40 going down that hill past that thing...

It looked kinda like it had a dog head, moved like a monkey and had a physical structure of a human and lack of noticeable hair...

yeah I was doing some research on it last week
I realized our area is near some woods that the native americans used to populate
Im not sure if the seminoles had witches like the navajo but I think it might have been a skinwalker as they are called

I've heard more then a few tales consistent with the idea of "innawoods hobos," including a 70-year old Canadian poster who spoke of actually seeing a man take down a deer with a thrown spear (the poster had been aiming at it at the same time.) It seems strange but perhaps people hiding in the woods and living off the land isn't that rare.

I am unsure of what exactly I saw, but I dont think it was a dog. I could feel it's presence almost, like a Grim or a Hellhound.

Probably not, I've seen things with colored eyes before watching me from the dark. This was definitely something else.

No noise, no nothing, but once we got out under some streetlights some distance away, my dog turned and started barking like mad, unwilling to turn away. After a while we walked home, but I made sure to keep in the lighted areas. No trouble after that (well, except for a few days later when my dog rolled in shit and I had to wash her).

I want to say "oh, we just saw a coyote", but it was the biggest damned coyote I've ever seen if that's true. Big for a wolf, too- but I figure wolves are unlikely. Oh well.

This reminds me of playing FEAR for a bit, which had consistently freaked my friend out. Shooting everything that jumped out with a shotgun really removed any sense of fright I would've got. It was almost therapeutic really.
