[This may have been posted before, I didn't browse /k/ a lot in the last weeks]
I came across the youtube channel of Kevin Dawes, a 'freelance abttlefield journalist' who went to Libya with his camcorder and soon picked up a rifle also. The channel is pretty unorganized but the videos are very good quality and show stuff that you don't see very often.
Because he embedded himself with the rebels, he also took part in some fighting (he said he got a few kills, that may be douchebag braggery or the truth). It looks more like he just tagged along with the rebels as another fighter with a camera instead of a fullblown journalist with press signs everywhere. Yo ucan doubt his motives for going to Libya but at least he did not wear press signs while actively fighting and his material is quite fascinating:
http://www.youtube.com/user/orac22 - the channel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WItfm_2xWZo - examining some of the SA-7 that people were freking out about just lying around, without grip stocks or cooling/ battery modules but working otherwise
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNj1YPmiQYU - at a range with the rebels, his grip is probably not the best
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYDzTk4t6tA - more MANPADS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVKB6pSwVuc - another munitions dump, mortar rounds etc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9pFrt95H7U - some rebel tube-launched improvised artillery in action
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnnea-zqlEE - trying to set a Gaddafi billboard on fire
Most of the videos have a summary in the descripotion, the titles are pretty generic though. Just skip through some of them, I found them very interesting and hope my fellow /k/ommandos will enjoy them, too.

It's better that I mention this sooner rather than later. They were armed, firing on me, and Qaddafi loyalists. I briefed the people at the Benghazi operations center in Sirte on this matter already. They told me I could not fight, but that I could return as a journalist or medical aid worker. When I got back to Misurata they told me: 'Fuck Benghazi. We'll get your rifle back." and I said: >orac22 1 day ago

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56aQGfulE30 They get ambushed and fight back along a bank of dirt next to the road. Shows the different equipment and 'marksmanship' among the rebels. You can see people with kevlar vests and helmets and people in shorts and t-shirts. Some shoot from the hip or overhead, some take care and aim. One dude with the machine gun just goes full rambo and sprays bullets in front of his feet and the general direction of their enemy.
This wasn't filmed by Kevin Dawes, he's the one with the desert tan/ olive helmet and vest.

>This is posted out of order. As to why I have a rifle? Well, my vocation changed away from journalist not long after the outset of my trip. I wore no press markings on my equipment after I drew that weapon nor did I bear the sygil of the red cross / red crescent. I don't think our truck did either, actually. After the Misurata doctor massacre where an entire ambulance crew was dragged out of their vehicle and executed everybody started carrying weapons anyway so I'm not sure that mattered on the battlefield but above and beyond that, within the scope of international law and treaties, I made sure that no such markings were present or visible after arms were drawn by me. I'm not a bastard. I also quit calling myself a journalist at that point though I saw many others (and even got one on camera) doing the same thing with their press markings intact. Fucking disgusting. I can't fault the doctors after what happened. It's current US Army doctrine to arm those guys anyway so it passes that ethical test.

al queda = CIA initiative turned into Goldstein-esque strawman for the media to wave in front of the enraged American people whose minds were particularly vulnerable to brainwashing and deception after the CIA initiatives executed on 9/11. sure, a lot of the people in al queda right now don't know that they're tools of the CIA and American government (who are in turn tools of the NWO), but do you really expect the lowly footmen to have 100% knowledge like the generals? of course not. american marines/army infantry don't know they're being used and neither do the al queda members who have been deceived by the CIA to fight because of their radical Islamist beliefs. of course, /k/ doesn't know shit about anything and basically equates all (correct) skeptic views to moon landing holocaust denial bullshit.

http://cjchivers.com/post/11954902382/maos-rockets-and-recent-war Two conflicts this year — in Afghanistan and Libya — provided a busy showcase for a ground-to-ground rocket system designed more than a half-century back for the People’s Liberation Army: the so-called Type 63. And it was a dark show.
>In Libya, pro-Qaddafi forces used them to punish rebel cities and rebel formations on the roads, while the rebels cued up their own stocks of these 107-millimeter munitions (like the high-explosive variant in the image above) and fired them back, often irresponsibly. The rockets ruined lives and property alike, contributing to much of the destruction in the country, in the physical and social sense. Though they received far less media attention than the larger and more powerful 122-millimeter Grads, in fact many times when Libyans or journalists reported “Grad fire,” the rockets in question were actually these smaller Type 63s. >In Afghanistan, Type 63s retained their place as an effective – even classic – Afghan guerilla arm. Seemingly readily available in certain areas of the country, and not difficult to master, they were a tool for a force that scraped together launchers (or fired them simply from the dirt) and managed to tie up American and Afghan manpower and resources in the long war, and to introduce border intrigue and frustration at the same time. Below is an image showing where one of the rockets struck. Anonymous

My theory is that, in the case of the rebels, it's certainly a lack of weapons training but maybe also a psychological issue. Nobody wants to be the pussy who can't handle his rifle on automatic mode and automatic fire boosts their morale.
