>>11286742>Wow, I'd never heard of Mercs aboard ships actually engaging pirates before, this is pretty awesome. It doesn't happen often, pirates go for soft targets, ships that are easy to board and have no security, don't want to criticize the guys in this vid but, in my experience if you make yourself visible on deck the pirates turn round, if that doesn't work (they're usually high on ghat) a few rounds loosened off gives them the message, they don't need to fight back as there are plenty of ships out there with no security.
>>11286793>doing the job our Marines should have been doing all along.International forces provide intel and convoy escorts to merchant shipping for most of teh danger areas, some ships dont' bother tho and take a chance alone, it's expensive to stay out at sea for a few days waiting for a convoy escort. You have everything form US, French, Chinese, Russian and Italian naval forces helping out.
>>11286794>Why do they think it's a good idea to assault a ship in those stupid, exposed little boatsShips have a overhang, if you're in a small boat and get close up you have some cover form anyone up on deck. Those boats are called Skiffs, they're cheap, light and very fast all things considered. They tend to be towed behing a "mothership" a larger but slower craft that hangs out far off from coast and holds all their kit, they then deploy a smaller boat to assault merchant vessels.
>>11286847>I was talking to a Britfag Merc who did contracts for shippingHaha that was me, well I posted here before and said something similar.
