I'd likely find nothing so objectionable about being a British colonial subject under their constitutional system to warrant rebellion.

That said? I'd likely rely on light irregular forces to make asymmetrical attacks while attempting to buy time and sympathy from major powers, then should that materialize form more regular forces with the training and equipment to stand up to the British in open warfare.
