the Kamov Ka-92(with a design goal of a 420 to 430 km/h. cruise speed)
i wouldn't be surprised they try to combine the two

Actually, yes. One of the bigger advantages of the counter-rotating blades is that turbulence is reduced.

Reduced turbulence=lower acoustical signature.

I'm very dubious about the design. First, the blades are set really close together, this could lead to collisions and then a fiery death. Second, I doubt that the aircraft has the ability to go beyond 200 kts. In a Ka-50 (In DCS at least) the rotor over-speed buzzer goes off at 290km/h (~156 kts). This is a coaxial rotor system, mind you.

Some thing a lot of people take for granted is the fact that the blades are spinning very fast (~900 Rpm in most cases) the advancing blade is going that fast on top of the forward speed of the aircraft. With out a coaxial system, I would write this off completely as a stupid idea that would never work EVER, the retreating blade would reach an almost stand still in the air. Needless to say, bad things happen when that happens.

Not to mention the aircraft looks silly.

Like I said. I'm still doubtful of the overall design. Especially with the blades being as close together as they are. Blades don't stay flat, they move as you apply collective and cyclic.

I'm very curious about the materials and construction of it.

If it didn't work, it wouldn't fly, or wouldn't fly as fast as it does.

You're free to critique it's usage as a combat aircraft, as that's just a prospective design, but doubting it's documented performance as 'unlikely' just makes you sound like you're genuinely retarded.

They occasionally get together and say 'guys, can we get this key logistical point standardized? seriously', but even that isn't always true, ammo is about the only thing they agree on. Find a country that actually has need of a high speed rotary aircraft, because the US already bought their leap into that field (Osprey), and purchases will be determined by domestic economics in the current world situation.
