It's not uncommon for a customer to take a weapon entirely apart in an attempt to clean it and then forget how to put it back together. The other day I had someone with the ever familiar "box of shame" containing what was left of his gun walk in and ask me to put it together for him.
The frustrating part is, this was a gun I had very little knowledge about as far as putting one together goes... I was pretty much in the same position as he was. If it was an 870 I could have thrown it together in minuets, but this is a pretty uncommon gun.
