The new is an update on the older model. Appareantly it reduces the failure to feed problems. I got one about a month ago. Took it to the range and put about 100 through it with no ftf. But the accuracy is shit. It breaks apart and builds very easily, but there is no space for a scope in the butt. You need a scope because the "iron sights" made of plastic, are almost completely unuseable. Its a ring and a notch, no boundaries on the end to line up, i just assumed "get the orange plastic tip as close to the middle of the circle as possible." couldnt hit anything. With scope after calibration not much better. The barrel will wobble if you hold it and shake. After all, its held on by a threaded gasket and a peg. Its fun though. I let my gf use it at the range. Shes not afraid of it and doesnt kick much. It would be good for plinking if i could hit a beer can at 20 yds (i can do this with my .45 pistol, my mosin nagant, and my 12 ga) i suggest a 22/10 by ruger. Its not as neato, but at least you can use it to make squirrel stew in a survival situation. Its a 2lb noisemaker or a 7 lb squirrel expert. But yes, everything does fit conveniently into the stock.
