I am 21 years old, a junior going to a small liberal arts university, studying music, and I hate it. I won't be able to graduate because dad is cutting off funding, and I don't think I'd be successful even if I graduate, because there are people with doctorates in my specific field who don't have jobs.
I'm 6'4", probably about 220 (slightly chubby, strong but little endurance) and I want to know what you would reccomend in terms of joining the military.
I understand it's not a last ditch thing, it's something that requires me to work hard and learn. But I can't keep doing what I've been doing, it's a dead end.
I love ships, I was thinking about the navy or the coast guard.
Is this a stupid idea? Am I too old and fat to become a new enlisted man at 21 years old?
